Production can officially begin. Good luck to our teams.
Here are some the highlights from the Frightfilm Kick-Off.
The Prop is Duct tape.
The Cinematic Element is a 360 degree shot. You can move the camera around the subject 360 degrees or you can see what the object sees in a 360 degree pan or you can have the camera look at the object while both rotate 360 degrees. Get creative and give it a complete spin. Remember you can't cut away from the shot.
And finally remember to include a line from a classic horror film.
NOTE: You must indicate the time in the film where each element appears in within your credits. Best to do these grouped together.
As you know, all cast, crew, location owners and music performers & composers must fill out a release from. Have them visit the Release Form webpage link below. There they can select their type of release and complete it with their device.

Everything, EVERYTHING, needs to be submitted by midnight(Eastern time zone) September 26th. Remember that this means you can submit it early too.
All the other stuff can be found in the Rules tab at the top of this webpage.
Each team will get two free tickets to the Premiere and Awards Event, so be thinking about that as you finish the film.
We'll announce the premiere and awards location once we know the number of films submitted. If you have a connection to a venue that has a good quality screen and sound system please let us know. We'd love to consider it. We're shooting for the Frightfilm 2026 Premiere and Awards Gala to be held either October 24th or 25th.
We'd love to see the fun you have on location and in pre and post production. Take lots of images and videos and post them as a comment on our Facebook page. We'd also love to show them at the premiere during intermissions. So upload them to a folder in your online storage and send a download link for the folder to us in an email to info@frightfilmcompetition.com.
If you’d like to thank your cast or crew with a gift for their hard work, we have two suggestions. You can get them the official FFC
