RULES
- You must submit a 200 word (or less) synopsis of the screenplay with your entry. Include the famous horror film dialogue line that you included.
- By submitting your work to this competition, you agree to the rules and terms outlined in the rules and release agreement.
- While this is a horror screenplay contest, we will consider SciFi/Fantasy/Romance/Comedy/etc. concepts as long as they have the horror element.
- Screenplays must be submitted as a PDF file only. (.fdr, .doc, .docx, .cltx, etc. will not be considered.)
- Screenplays must not be any longer than 13 pages but can be as short as one page.
- Screenplays must be original; you must be the author of the script. However, you may submit a script written by more than one person provided that you're one of the authors.
- You can choose whether your entry is made available for production in the Frightfilm Competition. You can withhold it or use it yourself in the competition. Frightfilm Competition will have its own unique set of requirements(elements). Frightwrite scripts will need to be adapted to incorporate these requirements.
- All submissions must have been written originally in English. (No translations accepted.)
- You may submit more than one screenplay, but you’ll need to pay an additional submission fee for each additional script.
- All participants acknowledge that no offer or contract is being made to the author (optioned, produced, purchase etc.) of the submitted work for anything other than consideration of the terms of the competition as outlined above.
